At the same time, the rubber elastic element has the function of absorbing the vibration of the transmission shaft, reducing the noise and bearing the radial force.

The middle support is composed of rubber elastic elements, bearings and so on. Because the honeycomb rubber pad is elastic, it can meet the compensation of installation error and displacement caused by engine movement and frame deformation during running. Some intermediate supports use double row tapered roller bearings.

Intermediate support should be added when the drive shaft is segmented. Usually the middle support is installed on the frame beam, which should be able to compensate the installation error of the drive shaft in the axial and angular directions and the displacement caused by engine movement or frame deformation in the process of vehicle driving.
