What is the reason for the loose transmission shaft support

 

1. The flange connections (or connecting bolts) of the transmission shaft are loose, resulting in noise.

 

2. Grease nipples (commonly known as grease nipples) at all places, the oil passage of the cross shaft is blocked and cannot be filled with grease, the grease is not filled on schedule, and the oil seal of the cross shaft

 

3. The installation configuration of universal cross shaft is too tight.

 

4. Looseness of the sleeve and the fork hole of the universal joint and looseness of the bolt of the support plate affect the operation of the sleeve, causing excessive wear and looseness of the fork hole of the universal joint, resulting in noise.

 

5. The spline of the second shaft of the transmission and the internal spline of the flange are excessively worn, resulting in looseness and noise.

The transmission shaft is a rotating body with high speed and few supports, so its dynamic balance is very important. Generally, the drive shaft shall be subject to dynamic balancing test before delivery and adjusted on the balancing machine. For front engine rear wheel drive vehicles, it is the shaft that transmits the rotation of the transmission to the main reducer. It can be several joints, and the joints can be connected by universal joints.

 

The transmission shaft is composed of a shaft tube, an expansion sleeve and a universal joint. The telescopic sleeve can automatically adjust the distance between the transmission and the drive axle. The universal joint ensures the change of the angle between the output shaft of the transmission and the input shaft of the drive axle, and realizes the constant angular speed transmission of the two shafts.
